The City of Colorado Springs Sales Tax Division provides this form that charitable, religious and governmental organizations may present to retailers for tax-exempt purposes. Colorado Municipal League (CML) and the Colorado Nonprofit Association partnered with Safeway and King Soopers to develop a standardized form to streamline the tax-exempt purchasing process in home-rule municipalities. To help both nonprofit users and retail recipients of the form, CML developed a two-minute training video available to view for more information.
The “Standard Municipal Home Rule Affidavit of Exempt Sale” replaces the “Affidavit of Exemption from the City of Colorado Springs Sales Tax”.
